Poppie made plans, simple but plans, amazing! Nice evening old people get to do what we want.

The first time I brought Poppie home to meet my family, Drama Queen was about 7, she was totally amazed to meet Poppie.  He was as tall as a giant.  "His arms could reach all the way around Nannie" to quote her. Yes, his arms still reach all the way around me, sometimes more so than others but all the way around none the less. I was amazed to find out that Poppie had thought up, all on his own, for us to go to dinner and he had made arrangements to do so, so he didn't need a reservation and we were only gone from the house an hour but plans none the less.  I am so proud of my boy, he is growing up.  We did have a nice dinner,  I broke the heart of the Jackie that owns the restrurant that we went to, unintentionally.  A year or so back we went there and I order the "mean Mike's" burger,  it was supposed to be hot and made with havenaro's.  I ordered it, when Mike as me if I wanted the havenaro sauce on the side and I said no, he said that it was really hot. I said that is ok, he could put it on the burger.  He brought back our orders and shortly after we started to eat he came back to check on us.  We said we liked our burgers.  We had finished our burgers when he came back to see how we liked them, we said we did.  He asked if I found the burger hot,  I said it was nice and had some heat.  He said I am proud of you, I didn't think you would eat it.  I said it was nice but I had eaten hotter.  I think he took it as a personal challenge.  I know his wife Jackie did, we ordered burgers out about a month later and she made the burger, it was very good and hot, I needed three glasses of milk to drink it.  It was wonderful.  Jackie asked how I like it a couple days later when Poppie picked up their prep slop for the pigs.  Poppie told her I like it alot and much better than the one I had had at the restaurant.  She had made it, so from then until now, she makes mine, sometime it is very hot and wonderful, sometime just hot and good, if it isn't a three glass of milk burger it is not quite as good.  The one we had had last time was only a one glass burger so it broke her heart.  We did not have burgers last night.  We paid for out meal and were leaving when she told me I was going to get it next time, she would not be sending me anymore one glass burgers.  They are very good if you like hot you should stop by and have one, you can have the havenaro sauce on the side if you need to but it is a great burger. Poppie and the girls get other great burgers. They make great salads too.

Poppie and I came home and spent the rest of the evening watching TV while I knitted.  While we were at the restaurant Jackie had tried to guess how many years we were married, she thought 37, I must look old to her or she thinks 14 is a good age to be married.  She asked us if we were still in love love, we said 'yes'.  Later when she brought our salads and we were holding hands and talking she said "yes, it is still love love".  Nice of her to have said so.  I guess as we age holding hands isn't always expected but I think holding hands is one of the most important things about being in love.  I watched a news talk show the others day and it said that you can read a relationship by the way they hold hands.  If it is just the finger tips that is bad, a full on wrapped around each others arms is good, it means you want as much contact as you can with each other.  Poppie and I like to hold hands, we spend most of our time together and holding hands is still one of our favorite past times, we can sit and never say a word for long periods of time holding hands.  Somehow we don't need to talk so much when we are holding hands, we can just be.  I hope you hold hands with full on contact with the one you love.... tomorrow.
