Sanders county fair here we come, Booboo turn eight today.

Poppie is totally exhausted and in pain this morning.  He and Son had a flat tire, on the trailer, on the way home yesterday.  They luckily got the trailer jacked up and the tire changed with his dodge truck jack,  Poppie was proud of his jack he didn't think it would lift that much weight.  We still have 3 ton of hay to unload and 4 ton to stack but that will have to weight until later or tomorrow. Today is Miss Booboo's eighth birthday she is excited for the day,  we are going to go to the Sanders County Fair and carnival.  We are basically boring people, as that is what we do every year, but to them it never gets old. We will start in the animal barns, the goats, the pigs, the llamas, horses, ducks, chickens, bunnies, geese and cows all are a new excitement each year.  Then on to the vegetables, cooked goodies and the other 4H offerings.  The art works and the fiber art, and then on to the vendors and eventually the food.  Grandpa usually has to do a booth for the Clark Fork Valley Hospital so he may be there, but probably not as it is Sunday and probably at church.  The carnival rides start at eleven, if I remember right, and they will both have an all day pass.  They will run from ride to ride with the joy of youth on their faces.  The pure joy of just getting to go in a free spirited manner is priceless.  They will be going full bore for about 3 to 4 hours with Poppie and I trailing along.  Then we will feed them and get them drinks, and say our good byes to the fair for another year.

We will arrive home and Yogie will finish up the cake she baked last night for her sister. It is her joy to have baked her sister's cake,  She has to pour the icing over the two layers, write on it and add candy. She made her own cake this year as well, she made cupcakes for us all. She is so proud that she can go to the kitchen, with out mom, and make a cake all by herself.  I am so proud of my newly nine year old.  Today my baby turns eight, many years ago my other baby turned eight, they are alike in many ways but this old lady wants it to be the last time I have an eight year old baby.  I sorrow each day as they age, at the loss of their babyhood,  but take such joy in seeing them become the beautiful woman with are destined to be.  I do so cherish that chance to do it a second time around.  I am more patient and hopefully a better parent, I don't make the same mistakes twice just new mistakes...... tomorrow.
